Greetings Summoners!
So we are very close to a kickstarter launch! I will be creating image assets, brainstorming backer rewards, writing up info, and more for the kickstarter. My question is, even if you can or cannot donate towards the fundraiser, what do you think are some good rewards for backers? Reference the ideas you've seen bounced around here. (: Maybe the highest backer can create a custom skin for a beast? Mid-range backers can receive special shiny player avatars, or get level boosting item? Lower tier backers get a common skin, or a special item to boost exp? Let me know! ^^

The first thing I'd like to suggest is to keep the 'normal tiers/rewards' under a $25 mark. This way collectors won't need to spend hundreds on your game, while still being able to support the game and collect their kickstarter skins for example.
So for example there can be four tiers. One that is $5, one $10, $15, $20, $25. The rewards of these tiers should stack, so by buying the $25 tier you should get the rewards from the other three tiers too
Some suggestions for the normal tiers: - kickstarter award/achievement/title - kickstarter avatar/vista - kickstarter background(s) - if BSums is going to add applicable backgrounds to the game of course haha - special set of items (could be aesthetic, but maybe also items that you can apply to your beast during fights/shows - should never expire though) - level 50 account, maybe? - themed kickstarter beast skins (maybe something like galactic/godlike or just something really cool in general)
Special tiers: These could be a bit more expensive of course and you could also limit these purchases to a certain number even.
- costum beast skin (that's theirs only?) - help develop a costum beast skin that will be released to the community eventually - help develop a beast that will be released to the community eventually - maybe a tier where someone who buys it can help develop a certain set of items + a beast skin that will be released to all kickstarter backers?

These are all great ideas Thornes, I especially like the one where a backer can help design a custom skin or set of items! I'm totally going to use some (all? lol!) of these!

Ah I'm glad you like them! I could even brainstorm a bit on what skin theme/item you could release for the kickstarter too if needed? Nothing really pops in my head as of now (besides galaxy.. because I'm a big sucker for zodiac signs and the galaxy ). I hope I'll be able to support the site with $25 or something, but I'm not sure though! Am a little tight on money right now xD

So unfortunately, while I would love to keep advertising this game to my friends, I am unsure if I could donate anything. I used to have a PayPal set up and then the card I got that came with it was discontinued since they closed their service. If I could give anything, I would- I want this game to be just as successful as all the staff does! My ideas are probably not as good as Thornes' ideas but maybe I have something here to be possibly used? I used to play a LOT of Minecraft (don't judge I still like the game ;-;) and what Thornes is suggesting sounds very familiar to what popular servers do. So possibly, to go with what Thornes idea is, maybe you could do some subtle changes for players' profile page for others to see? Some ideas I have to go along with this are... - Depending on the "tier" that people donate at, maybe the profile picture could either be changed to a "kickstarter only" picture, and/or there could be a small frame outside the picture. So, a lower rank can have a bronze colored frame, then it could go up from there for maybe a silver, then gold, then diamond.
IDEA! What if the highest-tier donation status could have a frame resembling the omni-gem? - I don't think a special pet would be a good idea for the kickstarter, because if I were joining the game late and had no way of receiving that cool pet/beast, I would probably be discouraged and say "well frick." and not enjoy it as much. I'm not saying that everyone will think like this, but I'm saying to be a bit cautious of how special kickstarter accounts will be because people who join after this phase may feel like they are too deprived of everything. It may seem like a "pay-to-win" game even if you only have to pay a dollar or two.
::TLDR:: skins are a good idea, be weary of how many advantages these accounts will receive.
These were just a few suggestions, feel free to toss them out the window if you want xD
