Hello everyone, I need your opinions!
The gist of Beast Summoners is that you are a mage/warrior/etc who can summon legendary beasts to fight, explore, and live alongside you. They aren't really considered "pets" in this world. You don't own them per se, but you do own the scrolls from which they are summoned, so you can call upon them at any time for any length of time. In this way, you sort of control them, but push their buttons the wrong way and they can refuse to be summoned. They are your respected allies. Your comrades. Your friends. You would give your life for them and they for you (well, maybe not the chickens ehhh).
Despite this, and outside of our own lore, we are still considered a "petsite". So would it be weird (to you personally) if you were able to summon more humanoid beasts like water nymphs, kitsunes (human form), goblins, and even Medusa for example? Would it be refreshing to you to see different types of "pets" on a site like this, or do you think it's a little too far and not your cup of tea?
There's no right or wrong answer, let me know your thoughts! Thanks! ^^

Well, in my opinion, even if the site falls to the petsite category, it doesn't mean the creatures should be strictly animals. Much of it depends on how things are represented. If the texts and infos of the site would regulary refer to 'pets' and such, then it would feel a bit weird to have an elf sitting in your profile. But if they are referred to as companions or something like that, so that it suggests the nature of the relationship is rather of mutual respect than an ownership, then I'd see no problem. Words have power in them, so if written out the right way I doubt there'd be a problem. I personally would like more humanoid beings, simply because it gives so much more room for user's own creativity. One can only imagine so much of an adventure with a dog, but a living, talking nymph with human-like emotions and behavior and such is a different thing entirely.

Thanks Manewa! I agree, I think it would be neat to have humanoid beasts. I feel it would encourage interesting stories and roleplays to take place on the forums. (:

I have to agree with manewa here! It would definitely be wonderful if homanoid beasts were added to the game, would definitely add to the 'originality' of this game, and wouldn't that be a very awesome thing to have (especially in this current economy of pet sites where you basically get offered quite similar systems)? Oh maybe another thing, will there also be a beast encyclopedia or something like that? It could feature some in-depth information on the particular beast, that would be really cool

I also agree! Look at Flight Rising for example: they have centaurs, nagas, ect, basically humanoids, in a largely dragon oriented petsite! I think it would make for some interesting lore and rp yes.
